Ran across this disturbingly compelling slideshow in Flash and it described what, to a true Dude, Father's Day should be all about. The rest of the piece is pretty entertaining as well. Enjoy!
Looking for things to do besides football and raking leaves? Grab your Dude friends and head to the flicks for these special Dude Night approved movies.
This second installment of the video game franchise has a great deal to offer Dude Night viewers, but only if you don't look too deep. Admittedly, the best parts of the movie is watching Angelina Jolie (in the title role) doing what the character does best...KICK ASS while still looking like a teenage boys wetdream. Lots of great action, she manages to out Bond her aged British counter-part in terms of gadgets but too much improbability for the movie as a whole to stand up as art... But then, there is always Lady Croft going mano-a-mano with what looks to be a great white shark (in the Mediteranean?) in that great silver dive suit... Seeing that, or any of the numerous closeups of her face really makes things all better, especially after a couple of micro-brews with the boys to "warm up" before the flick. They help one get through the altogether too many slow parts of the film. A 5 year-old seated nearby (a mini-dude?) got so bored during the movie that he fell asleep. Obviously he hasn't grown to the point that Ms. Croft's looks are enough to carry though the slow parts. On the whole, I'd say it was time well spent (as is any night out with the guys).

From the creators of The Matrix
Trilogy comes The Animatrix. So, with
this DVD's 9 short animated films, shouldn't the Trilogy really be a Twelvogy?
While we aren't normally HUGE Anime fans, this is one spectacular series of
films. Made all the better by a FANTASTIC sword duel in the opening episode
The Flight of the Osiris. This is the episode that was
chosen to run before showings of
Dreamcatcher in the weeks preceeding the release of
The Animatrix and for good reason. This is computer
animation at it's best!
Well, the whole gangs all back in this sequel to try and prevent the extinction of the human race by the machines. Neo, Trinity, Morpheous and everyone's favorite, Agent Smith. This is a FANTASTIC DudeNight movie. Great action, wicked special effects and some of the hottest action babes around.
While much of the action is unbelievably wild, there were times when it was too easy to tell the CG actors from the real thing, but on the whole this wasn't too distracting. On the whole this rates a repeat DudeNight with my friends who haven't seen it yet!
BTW - Sit through the really long credits. You will be glad you did! I can't wait to see what Smith is up to in the next/last one. Trailers
Great DudeNight movie even if we did end up bringing a woman with us this time. Loads of action and great special effects keep this pic moving right along. You'll really enjoy the Nightcrawler! And of course, don't forget Mystique. We get to see MUCH more of her in her native shape. She and Wolverine make a hot couple .
Coming this fall (2003) is the ultimate Dude Night Movie!Kill Bill is the 4th film by Quentin Tarantino and if that isn't enough, try this on for size: the yummy Uma Thurman as a samurai wielding ex-assassin in yellow leathers! This classic tale of revenge includes some great fight scenes as well as HOT CHICKS WITH SAMURAI SWORDS! Since this is a Tarantino flick, one can count on some signature tough talking and loads of action. Co-starring with Thurman are Vivica A. Fox, a one-eyed Daryll Hannah, Lucy Liu as the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad (DiVAS) and David Carradine as Bill. I can't wait for this one! With any luck it will rate up there with Matrix (2 or 3), T3 and X2...
